  • I was satisfied until yesterday........ - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara

I was the proud owner of a 2000 Solara until a 16 year old kid decided to run into the back of me and toss me into another car and another lane of traffic on yesterday. Despite it all, my Solara held up remarkably well according to the SC Highway Patrolman that investigated the accident. This was my dream car, the car that I searched the East Coast to find with all of the options I wanted (even alloy wheels), the color I wanted, it was Toyota Certified AND it was within my budget. I only had it for 4 months and now it is a faded memory....it was a really great car. Im sure Ill never find another one like her.....

This is my first car and it has been nothing but great....Buy one you will love it. Very little if any maintance, first real problem was needed new air pump after 75,000 miles but nothing else, except required maintance. All my freinds want to drive it.

  • A great two door but feel like a sedan - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara

Solara is even better than my last car, which was a BMW 325i. Solara was very reliable. In the last 3 years, the only thing was that I have to replace all tires due to my stop & go traffice every day. A very good car for anyone who loves performance and value.

Within 1 year I bought a Chevrolet then an Oldsmobile and spent more time in the service department than driving. Decided to splurge and go for the Toyota. Almost four years later, Im still loving it. 43,000 miles later and never been in the shop except for regular maintenance. I leased the car, but decided to buy out the lease after 3 years. Will drive it until it cant go anymore and then plan on burying it in my yard with a marker "Best Car Ever Made".

I have owned this awesome car for 3 years and have only needed to change the oil. Recently, I am having some suspension issues - not surprising after 100K miles. The CD player also died recently. I would definitely buy another!

  • Balanced, quality package - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara

This car is a pleasure. Handling & performance are good and comfort is outstanding. Stable on the road, adequate mileage. For my money, it is the best balance of quality, price, performance, and comfort.

  • Great car for the last 10 years - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara

We bought the car new and drove it for a good 10 years. The only reason we decided to let it go is were now working on our second baby and unfortunately a 2 door car will no longer fit in with our expanded family. Considering for how long weve had it we were thankful to only have to deal with routine maintenance and a few minor problems (the O2 sensor had to be replaced, the passenger viser mirror broke off after 5 years, and occasionally the driver side window motor will stick if the weather is very humid.) But the engine has been impeccable, and I joked with my husband on several occasions we should just keep the car for another 14 years so it can be our childs first car when hes 16.

Ive had this car for 2 years now and I havent had any major problems. Just the normal ware and tear stuff like tires. Its a great car and I would buy another one.

  • Wonderful Car - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara

Bought in 8/2002 with 36k miles. Now have 85k. Have replaced window regulator motor. All other items have been regular maintenance - oil, filters, brake pads and rotors, timing belt and water pump (at 84k). This car is a wonderful machine.

  • An Affordable Luxury Car - 2000 Toyota Camry Solara

I love the Solara! When I was looking for cars, I stumbled across the "sporty Camry" and I was sold. What attracted me to the car was its sleek design, but Im constantly impressed by its handling. Its quick and surprisingly quiet. Until I can afford a Lexus or an Audi, this is definitely the car for me.
